Formed earlier this year, Villanelle consists of Gene Gallagher on vocals and guitar, Ben Taylor on guitar, Jack Schiavo on bass, and Andrew Richmond on drums. Their rapid rise in the music scene began with a series of impressive early gigs, including a standout performance at London’s rock ‘n’ roll pub The Marquis. This caught the attention of Liam Gallagher, who invited them to join his tour as the opening act.

Villanelle’s performances during the tour have received rave reviews. Maximum Volume’s review of their Sheffield show praised Gene’s “cool insouciance,” exceptional guitar skills, and the quality of their songs. The band’s talent has clearly set them apart, ensuring their continued presence in the music scene.

In addition to their tour with Liam Gallagher, Villanelle has played as guests for artists like Seb Lowe, Overpass, and Pastel, further building their reputation. Despite not having released any music yet, the band has generated significant excitement, and fans can expect news about their music releases soon.
