The Cowgate Block Party returns to Edinburgh on April 18th for its second outing, following a sold-out debut back in January. The second edition is building on that early success, promising to spotlight emerging artists, offering a platform for new and developing acts across the local and wider UK music scene.
Get ready to find your new favourite artists and hopefully, down the line, have the chance to say “I was there before they blew up”.
Hosted in Edinburgh’s iconic Cowgate across three staple venues (Sneaky Pete’s, The Mash House & Bongo Club), the event offers the chance to see 14artists spanning a range of genres. The lineup includes Edinburgh locals,
Aldous, serving up dreamy, psychedelic indie rock; Glasgow’s 90s-nostalgic alt-rock duo, Saint Sappho; Wales-based teethin, bringing electronic dancepunk; to “bratty-rockers” SISTER MADDS from Glasgow and LuxJury an indiepop three piece from London, to name a few.
On top of all that, it’s Record Store Day, making this the perfect party to complement the already buzzing atmosphere around the city. It’s all about supporting the scene—local venues and up-and-coming bands…so, it’s not one to miss!
