Over 2 decades on from their commercial breakthrough with the garage rock classic “Hate to Say I Told You So”, The Hives are back with new material, new suits and a renewed vigour.
With a prestigious support slot with the Arctic Monkey’s on their mammoth UK dates, the band had one goal, to convert as many of the masses assembled to see Alex Turner and Co into Hives fans. In Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist, they have just the frontman to achieve this.
In a near show stealing performance, Pele soon had the crowd’s attention and proceeded to put in the type of performance you don’t forget in a hurry.
Their gig at the legendary Barrowland Ballroom next spring is likely to be one of the hottest tickets in town.
